Re-use milestone for Scotland with 100 Revolve stores

Second hand, second choice? Not at Scotland's 100 quality certified re-use stores!

Scotland now has a landmark 100 quality-certified re-use stores – an important milestone on the country's circular economy journey.

R:evolve Clothing in Rutherglen is officially Scotland's 100th store to achieve Revolve certification, which lets shoppers know they are buying high-quality goods from a reputable retailer and can expect an excellent customer experience.

Every year, thousands of re-usable items needlessly end up in landfill in Scotland, including around 125,000 sofas and around 365,000 TVs. By choosing to buy from or donate to re-use stores people can help keep valuable products and materials in use for longer – saving money, supporting local communities, and protecting the environment in the process.

R:evolve Recycle, which operates R:evolve Clothing in Rutherglen and its sister stores in Cambuslang and Hamilton, aims to drive re-use as a quality, attractive and good value shopping experience by offering a range of services and activities which prolong the life of clothes, textiles and household goods.

The Rutherglen store offers a range of quality clothing and accessories for men, women and children, operates textiles upcycling courses in its dedicated workshop area, and also offers a unique ‘swapping’ scheme through which customers can collect points for their clothing donations and spend them on items as and when they choose, with no money changing hands.
