European Circular Economy consultation – Zero Waste Scotland responds

Zero Waste Scotland has identified priority sectors and measures for action to develop the circular economy at European level, in its response, published today, to the European Commission’s consultation on the subject.

The Public Consultation on the Circular Economy was launched on 28th May 28, 2015 and closed on 20th August.

The consultation aims to collect views on the main policy options, barriers, and enabling measures for developing an ambitious new approach on the circular economy in Europe. Stakeholders' input will help feed the preparation of the new action plan, to be presented by the end of 2015.

The Scottish Government has also recently launched Making Things Last, a consultation on developing a circular economy.
